 Q: What is the difference between a transmission service and a transmission flush and which is better?
A: A transmission service involves removing the transmission pan and replacing the gasket and filter. In this type of service only one quarter to one third of the transmission fluid is changed. A transmission flush involves hooking up a special machine and replacing 100% of the transmission fluid.
